fortil Mobility wins SNCF national framework agreement for railway engineering
fortil Mobility strengthens its position in the railway sector by securing a national framework agreement awarded by SNCF. This railway engineering contract, valid for 3 years with a 2-year renewal option. It covers the full scope of engineering studies, industrial methods, and project management services for rolling stock maintenance facilities (technicentres). These strategic industrial sites are responsible for the servicing, overhaul, and operational reliability of France’s entire train fleet.
A two-tier railway engineering framework agreement
The structure of this framework agreement reflects SNCF’s high standards for selectivity and performance. fortil Mobility has been selected within the “first tier” of contract holders. This status guarantees systematic consultation on all project needs expressed by SNCF, regardless of scope or location. This recognition directly confirms fortil’s capacity to operate at national scale.
Each project is then subject to competitive tendering among framework holders, requiring a complete response covering organisation, methodology, team composition, and budget.
All missions are delivered through on-site technical assistance (régie), embedded directly within the maintenance facilities, working alongside SNCF teams and close to operational realities.

A comprehensive railway engineering scope across the full maintenance cycle
Under this framework agreement, fortil Mobility’s teams will intervene across all engineering phases required for the modernisation and optimisation of SNCF maintenance facilities:
- Technical and design studies tailored to the specific constraints of railway maintenance infrastructure
- Industrial methods and organisation studies to optimise rolling stock maintenance workflows
- Project management, cost estimation, and file preparation
- Operational logistics support on-site
- Training support and skills development for SNCF teams
Recognised expertise in industrial railway infrastructure engineering
fortil Mobility met rigorous technical and financial criteria, drawing on an in-depth understanding of the specific constraints inherent to railway maintenance facilities.
Mastery of railway engineering standards and references
fortil’s teams master SNCF technical references and railway safety requirements. This includes inspection pits, overhead cranes, lifting systems, traction power supply, and industrial waste management.
Railway engineering in support of rolling stock modernisation
In response to the ageing of certain sites, the introduction of new rolling stock (TGV M, RER NG, new daily-service trains, etc.), and increasing demands around productivity and decarbonisation, SNCF is pursuing an ambitious programme to modernise its maintenance network. fortil Mobility is positioned as a key industrial transformation partner in this programme.
fortil Mobility: a leading railway engineering partner
“This framework agreement consolidates our positioning beyond railway signalling and confirms our expertise across the full industrial lifecycle of rolling stock — one of the five core domains covered by fortil Mobility, alongside infrastructure engineering, signalling, process digitalisation, and environmental engineering.”
Sérafin Fernandes, Business Development Manager, fortil Mobility
Following the SNCF Réseau signalling studies framework agreement won alongside SYSTRA France and BETA, and the RATP signalling works supervision framework agreement, this new contract reinforces fortil Mobility’s strategy: to cover the full spectrum of railway engineering services for France’s major national operators.
