fortil Mobility awarded a railway signalling engineering framework contract with RATP
In 2025 fortil Mobility has been appointed engineering manager on a framework contract with RATP’s Signalling and Railway Telecommunications division. The contract runs for three years, with two optional extensions, on a lump-sum, results-based basis. A significant milestone that cements fortil Mobility’s position as a go-to partner in French urban rail.
Supporting the modernisation of the Paris rail network
RATP is significantly scaling up its capital investment in signalling. Two major programmes are driving this growth: NExTEO and the broader asset renewal of the RER and Métro networks. To support this ambition, RATP’s Signalling and Railway Telecommunications division has engaged fortil Mobility to deliver engineering management services. Teams are fully embedded within RATP’s own premises, ensuring operational responsiveness and direct coordination with client teams.

Technical expertise recognised by RATP
Winning a lump-sum, results-based contract is a strong signal of trust. It reflects fortil Mobility’s deep familiarity with RATP’s technical standards, its systems engineering expertise, and its track record of delivering in live, operationally constrained environments.
Working from within RATP’s own offices keeps the collaboration tight: decisions move faster, issues get resolved sooner, and the team stays fully aligned with the client’s priorities.
Building a long-term relationship with RATP
This framework contract is one part of a broader ambition. fortil Mobility is actively bidding on further RATP contracts, with a clear goal: to become the engineering partner of choice for major rail operators, bringing technical depth, accountability, and genuine proximity to every project.
From initial design to final handover, this contract showcases the full scope of fortil Mobility’s end-to-end engineering model. It sets the stage for a lasting relationship with one of Europe’s leading urban rail operators.
