Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a core Lean methodology used to visualize and analyze the flow of materials and information required to bring a product from conception to delivery. In modern manufacturing environments, implementing VSM enables organizations to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and optimize operational performance.

On this project, we worked with a manufacturing institution to map all production processes, from raw material intake to final product delivery. The aim was to provide a comprehensive overview of current operations (AS-IS), identify bottlenecks, and prepare for a successful Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation. By combining detailed process mapping with KPI analysis, this project demonstrated how disciplined operational analysis can support digital transformation initiatives.
